THE LATEST: PRIDE MONTH EVENT
CARE WITH PINK HAIR
Since 2007, Elle Marie Hair Studio has supported those who have been affected by breast cancer with their $10 pink hair and pink feather extensions fundraiser. During the month of October, for a minimum $10 donation, guests can visit any of Elle Marie’s locations in Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Snohomish, and Woodinville to receive a pink hair or feather extension as part of their Care with Pink Hair breast cancer research fundraiser. All money raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society through Snohomish County Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
In years past, Elle Marie has also lead a team of Friends, Family, and Employees at the Making Strides of Snohomish County walk, as well as offering to visit local businesses to apply pink hair and feather extensions. For more information about hosting an on-site event, please email Lorry Green.

MAKE A CHANGE FOUNDATION
The Make A Change Foundation was formed in 2012 after several years of localized collection for Toys For Tots of King and Snohomish Counties. It was clear that year after year the motivation and giving spirit amongst our donors to make a change was growing by leaps and bounds. The Make A Change foundation, or “MAC Foundation” as we call it, was born out of a desire to recognize our donors and be able to provide more for the charities that we carefully select while in part honoring Francis “Brownie” Brown, our Vice-President’s late father. Brownie was a World War II Veteran who loved his country, loved kids and saved his pennies year round for Children’s Orthopedic Hospital. Today his memory lives on in the smiles of children who gain independence and moments of love and happiness in a sometimes unforgiving world. We are here to make a change and we’d love for you to join in with us.
In recent years, a strong relationship has evolved between the MAC Foundation and Hand in Hand Kids of Everett. Elle Marie is proud to support those efforts and gladly accepts donations, both monetary as well as bikes and toys, at all salons during November and December.
Dresscode Project‘s mission is to educate and empower hair stylists and barbers to give people haircuts that help them look the way they feel. We envision a world where every hair salon and barbershop is a gender affirming, safer-space for LGBTQ2S+ clients.
Dresscode Project provides education, events and support to salons and hairdressers all over the globe looking to create safer spaces in their areas.
The Professional Beauty Industry has always been considered a safer space for people within the LGBTQ2S+ communities, but we still have a long way to go with education, acceptance and understanding and it’s our mission to make sure we continue forward momentum.
GREEN CIRCLE SALONS
As the world faces a serious global climate change crisis, it’s important – now more than ever – to stand up together and make change happen. Green Circle Salons' award-winning program empowers salons to offset their emissions and recover up to 95% of their beauty waste. That includes previously unrecoverable materials and hard-to-recycle items like hair clippings, foils, excess hair color, aerosol cans, and color tubes.
We're proud to partner with Green Circle Salons to do our part in fighting beauty waste and climate change.
